Default Warrior twink

Hey guys, so I have a 13 warrior and wearing full plate (mostly AC and +str items) sitting at about 175 str. I have semi twink times like chest plate of dark flame, Mithril legs, hero bracers, granite bracers, plat fire rings, cobalt vambraces etc. I am currently wielding a venomous axe which has been awesome for initial leveling. I picked up a Velium swift blade and threw that in the offhand. On paper it seems like an awesome combo since my dual wield skill will be very low for a while.. I have a wurmslayer I was planning on transferring over around 20-25 for main hand damage, I'm lookin more towards doing enough damage to hold aggro with high AC in groups. My funds have nearly run out so I can't afford anything to luxurious.

Looking to see if anyone has any insight of when the swift blade starts to lose its effectiveness? Or any other tips?

At ~150 skill you can double attack duel wield, so I imagine that is the very latest cut off point for the swift blade, if not earlier.

To keep aggro the best thing is to have someone root for you though (and ensure you are closest player to the mob).

I rocked a wurmslayer (mainhand) and lammy (offhand) until about lvl 40 on my ogre warrior, then switched to Wrapped Entropy Serpent Spine http://wiki.project1999.com/Wrapped_..._Serpent_Spine (main hand) and Kunjar Ju'Juch http://wiki.project1999.com/Kunzar_Ku%27juch (offhand). No issues holding agro as a warrior with a dex and str buff. If your in the 40's in CoM or other zones, finding an enchanter that can give you boon of the garou will make your tanking problems non existent with 255 dexterity and those 2 combos. If the shit starts hitting the fan I main the wurmy and offhand the serpent spine.

IIRC from sakuragi's warrior guide, I opted for the no proc items because of OGRE STR so I was going for output DPS versus proccing with bad ratios unless you have a guild that can let you get rots on a 24hour infestation and a smoldering brand, that was my choice.

Use the 2 you have until 20, then swap to a Staff of Battle. If you're wanting to use the wurmslayer, though, I'd use that and the axe starting at 20.

There are plenty of aggro proc weapons, but on a budget you should just get a Staff of Battle and do dps while maintaining aggro.

Wurmslayer & venomous axe combo? I could do that, sounds powerful but I just feel that it would be important to pick up silver chitin hand wraps or some sort of haste as the wurmslayer is pretty slow. That's why I figured wurmslayer +http://wiki.project1999.com/Velium_Swiftblade would be a good combo from 20-35 or so until dual wield starts to pick up. The way I see it the 36% haste brings the 25/40 wurmslayer to 25/25.6. The offhand wouldn't do much damage but it would do some.

I could pick up a staff of battle, but if I was going 2H I could sell off a weapon or two and be able to afford something within the 2-4k range. I have a couple k plat to work with but I'd need to sell a few items to get there. Frostbringer seems like the ideal weapon to get but it is just over my budget unless I downgraded some of my gear.

Frostbringer doesn't proc until 40. If you're wanting to spend money on a 2 hander you can, but for like 400 you get a 31/37 weapon. That will get you probably to 40+ when you could swap to Frostbringer. I might have some SCHW lying around somewhere... that makes the SoB 31/30 without any other haste. You also get the 2 hander damage bonus.

Another option, Infestation is free if you can get to DN at the right time.

Aggro at low levels comes from dps. Get a haste item, get a cheap 2h like staff of battle and wait till 40+ to use proc weapons.
Also infestation is probably the best aggro weapon you will get until you start raiding.

I see, thanks for all the input! I will keep my eyes peeled for a 2H for 20+.

It doesn't have to be blunt. SoB is just really good for the price.
