Default Turn off sound for bard song chant of clarity?

Is this possible by editing/deleting a file in the EQ folder?

This song is super important in most of my groups but I hate the sound it makes. It's so loud and annoying i have to turn my volume down when i play this song a lot.

I'd love to make it sound like hymn of restoration or something else that is less obtrusive.

And if this is against the rules, I won't do it.

Thanks in advance [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I hear the same sound as when someone casts clarity on you, but it does it every single tick which is obnoxious lol. It's kind of like a chiiiiiiing sound if that helps.

it could be one of my files is messed up or something, but do you know which file it might be? I'd rather not reinstall EQ again just to get rid of that sound.

Same sound a guard makes when you hail them too.

What? That's a thing? Can't say I've ever hailed a guard though.

Clarity does not make a sound for this fire giant.

It sounds like your patch files did not fully extract to your EQ directory. Make sure both the spellsnew.eff and spellsnew.edd files from the patch folder make it in there. The song and clarity will then be silent as it should.

Okay will try this. Thank you

Edit: I do like the clarity sound, i just don't want to hear it every tick. Too bad there's no way to only disable it for the song.
