Today I experienced 2 crashes in less than 2 hours of play time. Neither crashes resulted from zoning. Both times resulted in insta-deaths. My max FPS is set to 20, and I'm using WinEQ.
As much as I love Project 1999, unless this can somehow be fixed, there is no reason for me to keep playing. I just lose more experience than I gain =(

Is it just a one day thing or, routine.

as you already said ... it is a client issue ... nothing the devs here could do about it ... what OS are you using? a bit more detail?
its like going to a butcher and say "i want meat" ...

I've seen a ton of posts about this happening. Have never found a working solution.
Are you kiting when you crash? because my fix was just to stop swarm kiting.

I know it's client side, which is why I posted it here and not in "bugs" :P I'm using windows 7.
I was kiting when I crashed, but only single mobs. The second crash happened 2 seconds after I cast snare - I'm pretty sure I wasn't even moving yet. Since it's never happened outside of combat to me (I've had 5 or so more crashes in the last two months), I guess it might have something to do with either pathing or particle effects.

it happened to me a few days ago in oot, after i crash once i reboot to avoid the second now. Each crash happened when I summoned a new pet mid-battle. I also have crashed when buying from vendors, and I was short coin. Rather then tell me I was short, they crash me to desktop.

I turned off particle effects and later got another crash again, so it has nothing to do with particle effects. I was in a group that time, so I didn't die, thankfully.

It doesn't happen every time I cast a DD or DoT to engage a target from range, but every time I crash to desktop, it's just after casting a DD or DoT to engage a target from range.
Cast spell Lands on target Window completely closes and I'm at desktop This is not at all reproduceable, but it's the same thing every time it happens.

It's happened to me a few times in the past week or so, used to happen more often. I thought it was a multi-core problem so I changed to boot EQ using only one core. It seemed that that had mostly fixed the problem, but now it has resurfaced.
Just happened 10 min ago, coincidentally right after I landed snare on a mob. Luckily survived that one, but it sucks soloing when you think you might crash at any moment.
