No, at least I've remade a character after killing one at level 1 and seen the old corpse (different face)

I rerolled a character with new stats or something and, just to see if it wasn't possible, left a corpse first. The new character with the same name could not loot the corpse. I think someone told me this was once possible, but it isn't last time I checked.

Characters are stored in the database using a unique character ID, not their name.
