RPG MMO Suggestions

I'm trying to find an rpgmmo somewhat similar to EQ to try and get my gf into these games. Have been trying to get her into EQ, but gms aren't having it to make a long story short.

Besides EQ, are there any others free or not that would be easy to learn/teach? Anything besides WoW please. I don't think I can handle making another wow toon. Is BDO out yet? is it noob friendly? Any non-Korean games old or new that are good like EQ? F2P is a plus but not needed.
