Default Starting out

I played EQ for years off and on.
My Favorite class back then was the Enchanter for group play.
I did't solo much.
Then POP came along and Enchanters wear not wanted much in a group. Get The best longest lasting KEI from a enchanter in POK and then take a bard with you. Adds wear not not as many and with root and the bard mez that is all they needed for CC and the bard staked with all the haste and clarity effects.

So is it viable to play a enchanter or should I choose a different class.

I should note that I work a 12 hr swing shift so I can't be on at specific time threw out the week.

Enchanters are one of the most desired classes for groups and raids. Just be prepared to respond to hundreds of buff requests per day if you ever intend to raid with it.

lol yep I remember the the out of range problem and and buff wear off so fast. Plus the Tank breaking mess with out getting argo first keep you on your toes, that is what made if fun. It was not a boring.
That is until POP expansion then enchanters wear not wanted in groups much they took a bard instead.
I will be sure to set my Char up higher this time around so i can charm better if i need to solo.
