Wanting to come back

I recently left but would like to play again, the thing is the difficulty was hard to get used to since i had no previous experience. I played a monk, but what would be a better combination to play thats not overly played?

Mage/Druid/Necro are overplayed and are very easy to solo with.

My best advice is to group up with people; the game is a lot easier that way and more fun.

What level is your monk?

To learn the game I suggest a necro or druid. You can group with you want to or solo when you want to. If you get frustrated ask someone higher level for advice.

Casters have an easier life in general. Druids have also TPs and SoW, which definitely help. Just avoid Cleric if you don't want to live group dependent.

Out of curiosity, what did you find difficult about the game?

Well he was 29, and the fact that even with a good group, it still took forever to level, and i never played EQ before so i dont know how well i would do at soloing, not to mention making the money for buying the spells you need to solo with.
