![]() I am speaking to the high end players particularly
Simple question, Why do you gear your toons and raid for upgrades? Most of the guilds here cleared all of velious on the beta server, so all of the content was done with no velious armor. If you already can do all of the content in the game, why do you continue to raid? What is the point of still raiding to upgrade your items on the blue server? is it fun? What is the fun part of 16hour variance windows, spending all of that time for a mob you had no problem killing with your items from the latest expansion? What makes you want to poopsock, track, or watch a spawn for some NTOV dragons when you were capable of killing this mob over a year ago with worse gear?

![]() Blue people like playing an MMO.
Red people like playing a single player RPG. [digging for that pic of red server pop of 8 last month]. | ||

![]() Stormfist, I have over 200 days /played on blue before I came to red. I am very experienced with both servers. I have set the all-time project1999 record for raid targets killed in a week, and raid targets killed in a month. I use to get every single raid boss in kunark on blue and red weekly, for months.
As a blue player, how often are you in lake rathe, west karana, runnyeye, warslick woods, halas ? It does not matter if they are empty on red. No one needs those zones very much, it doesn't affect anything. I play 18hours a day on red and today there was 26players in Mistmoore when I leveled my alt. As I run through Velious and Kunark there are groups in every dungeon. The OOC being global also helps the MMO-feel of the game because everyone is connected and speaks with one another.

![]() So you played with TMO when they had the high end content on lock, then when things got competitive you jumped to red where it was still a one horse race.

![]() when I was in TMO we sucked ass, i thought everyone could see through the propaganda
the first week I was in the guild we had a phenomenal week of raiding, and ever since that it was downhill. We had like 3-4 months of wiping to every single Trakanon and losing it to IB, at BEST we'd get 2/3 mobs in VP, most of the stuff outside of VP we'd lose because we had no good FTE'rs willing to do it. we had Nalken getting us PD most weeks in VP, and it turns out he was just busted for auto fire in Forsaken, so, yeah TMO was a real shitshow/disaster, especially from the inside. You should of seen how embarrassing our forums were, and our joke of an app process. POINT BEING, yeah I spend an absurd amount of time tracking in TMO to get a mana robe and a red dragonscale, so I deserve to be in the pixel showers of the zerg. But that doesn't matter, I don't find the raiding fun mostly, but it's important. Maybe I am still bitter from all of my time wasted, but I mean i'm just saying, i guess its a game and whatever fun is all that matters Im just saying there are stats and items on red that matter and have value, and on blue they have no use. Resists don't matter on blue, and atleast on red there is something to do with your items. On red we actually use our items for something, they help in PvP. No one on red or blue needs any new raid loot to kill any of the targets. We'll maybe tunare, dunno haven't done that one

![]() what i meant was we'd get 2 or 3 mobs in VP, not two thirds of the mobs.

![]() @ OP –Because this is a classic server. Raiding for gear that you don’t need so that you can strut in the EC tunnel and have a superiority complex is as classic as EQ gets. You need to get angry anytime you think someone is inspecting you without permission also. Classic EQ is about exclusion, not inclusion.
