Spells failing without failing?

So there have been several times I've noticed this but it just happened 4 casts in a row so I have to ask about it. What is "it" you ask? I will cast a spell (in this case Tainted Breath), it will complete (no fizzle, no interruption, no resist or other form of "failure" messages) but will not take hold. Spell chat window: You cast Tainted Breath. Then nothing happens except I loose a the full amount of mana. Again I ask 'sup with that?

Can just be lag. Server message did not make it back to you.

It'll happen to bard songs a lot too, without the missed note notifications. My pings stay sub-100ms. It always seems to happen more when fear breaks early in the twisting rotation :P
