http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ugreen-Dis...e/231755189425 is it just a type of hdmi cable? or is it a format limited to just one card maker? is it inferiror to hdmi >?> seems completely pointless that this exists in the universe?? what am i missing here?

![]() Displayport is a newer version of HDMI basically. All video cards made in last year or so have displayports on them. Basically VGA is gone. DVI is holding on thanks to 144hz refresh rates and then there is hdmi and Displayport. Think displayport runs some resolutions and other fancy visual terms that hdmi does not.

Lots more bandwidth, essentially. and HDMI is just DVI with sound + DRM. | ||
