Default no drop rots

Hello I am new to p99, and have rolled an ogre warrior. I was wondering if there are any good no drop weapons that usually just rot that I might be able to pick up or any gear for that matter, as warriors are very much gear dependent. As a low level warrior I don't make much money and the gear I need is pretty expensive. Any help is much appreciated.

You might be able to get a skean in steamfont mountains when a rogue is doing their epic. It's a very strong aggro offhand for warriors but it does not proc until 50. Also, the number of rogue epics being completed since the level 46 requirement patch has dropped.
Skean: http://wiki.project1999.com/Trochilic%27s_Skean

There's also Painbringer in Soldung B. But it's an AOE proc at 35. So at that level it's likely to only get enchanters killed.

There's also a good bit of no drop loot in Velketors Labyrinth. But you'd need a full group clearing the places and a safe guide to the camp.
Good luck.

jarsath scale rots in KC are decent if you're new & have time to kill on a new character. the set is shitty but it rots commonly. better than nothing if you're new.

even as a warrior though, i wouldn't worry about gear and just focus on leveling. any time you waste trying to get gear at low levels is time you could be exping, and the higher level you get the better loot you will find. get yak clubs, hp/ac rings, and do the crafted armor quests or something. almost every nodrop a warrior could acquire below 60/raid is pretty much trash, with a few exceptions like skean.

Buy a Jarsath Trident for 50p in ec and a Green Jade Broadsword for another 50-100p. Use them until 40 when yak clubs proc for about 200p each. Before 40ish mobs should die too fast where procs even matter. At 50 get some blood points.

obsidian shard is pretty good aggro if you rolled a high dex race and they proc @ lvl 16, often found on the lavastorm/solA vendors too.

I've tested this and it is not at all good aggro compared to the hate generated by good ratio weapons (especially wielded by monks and rogues :P).

The only time it was vaguely useful was when grouping with ragebringer twinks as if you got a couple of procs off early it was the only thing that would keep aggro, but you're lucky to get a single proc in a fight at low levels. Further more, ragebringer twinks can't exist anymore so that one redeeming factor is basically eliminated.

Just my personal experience.

That said, at low double attack skills you can't double attack with the off hand. And at low duel wield skill your offhand won't fire much at all. That said, the off hand can still proc even when it fails to produce a swing so it might be worth putting an aggro proc in that hand. Typically you see the Polished Granite Tomohawk used for this role as it nicely pads tanking at low levels in addition to providing a small str buff and some AoE aggro. I guess you could use an off hand obsidian shard and hope for procs until you reach ~150 skill for dw/da.

Main hand you definitely want good ratio as it will out aggro all but the craziest casters and will put out reasonable dps to help the group make xp faster.

Final point: for no drop rots check out the kithicor forest for a rotting scimitar of ykeshka. Procs from late 30s and is a 8/22 ratio which isn't bad for free. /who all kithicor and if you see a high level ask if they are killing the general camp.

if you are on the elf continent periodically /who all steamfont. like kith if you see a high level there ask if they are killing Renux and ask if you can loot the no drop skean. It's a really good off hand weapon, nice enough ratio and a long duration stun (stun is good aggro).

As a warrior save your first 100pp to get some nice dps weapons cheap from EC. Looted rawhide/ringmail will tide you over for armour. Next 100pp on a set of banded. Next couple of hundred pp on hp/ac rings. Late 20 through 30s if you get a questing itch crafted armour is easy enough to attain and gives you the chance to tour the old world.

Edit: note even though it is called 'crafted armour' it is actually attained via a quest from some centaurs :P.

I will do that and I played everquest through 2005 just didnt know how the p99 economy was or honestly what I did as a low level warrior then. I have also thought about the crafted quests I did about half of them on my original warrior then so ill probably do some of them here as well
