Default starting anew

Hello all. I am a youngish Vanilla EQ player who quit around the time of the eq 2 and WoW launch, as it was the newest coolest thing. Anyway, like many others i have watched WoW birth and become the abomination it is today, and i cannot seem to find a reliable MMO to fit the fix i need. I figured i should give good ole EQ a whirl and this project 99 sounded like the place to try. Created a erudite wizzy named Xantu and would appreciate any help getting into the feel of things as last time i played this i believe i was 13. Thanks and happy slaying.

Welcome! I don't much like the erudite starting area so I would probably venture to qeynos where there are many good quests such as gnoll teeth. In the nearby karanas there are two great quests, bandit sashes and lightstones. Google the p99 wiki to find TONS of info on the game.

The erudite starting area just got better with the warrens. But still, not many people there so you might want to move.

The center of P99 EQ is east commonlands, thats where the trading hub is and where you can get buffs the easiest. So leveling close to EC might be easier. Another populated starter area is greater faydark/crushbone.

In any case, have fun and do what you like best [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

But classic EQ is made of chocolate... not vanilla.
