Miscellaneous: Game freezes with Light velium claihdmore

Hello I purchased a Light Velium claihdmore today and now the game freezes only on the character who owns it. I believe this weapon is cursed. I can play on all of my other characters for extended duration's like normal. Help please!

maybe it has something to do with which zone the character is currently in? seems unlikely that the sword is the problem. You might try the tech support forum too.

Nope it happens in any zone....trust me It took 8 or 10 tries to run from ec to wc ...same happens in both

Also, when I auto attack it locks up.

did you make your chat window with the melee combat or other spam really small?
sometimes the game can hang when you make chat windows tiny.
I did this accidentally on my /auc window and only noticed when i zoned into EC and crashed repeatedly.

For future reference, this issue was caused by a corrupt UI file, but he couldn't remove them due to his EQ folder being installed under program files, which in turn "hid" his UI files.

Doing a fresh install under C resolved his issue.
