Default Sham Gear after Banded and 5/55 Rings

Hey everyone! So I'm level 19 on my Ogre Sham and finally got enough plat (through drops and a couple friendly folks when I first started) to get myself a full set of banded armor + totemic vambraces + two 5ac/55hp rings. I've also got a Barb. Hunting Spear.

Now I know I'm set for quite sometime. My question is, what should I be eyeing on getting next and around when should I start replacing my banded gear? Currently I also only have a basic wooden shield but I'm thinking (spell plat aside) I'll try to get something like a Chitin Shell Shield (unless there's another recommended shield to get.)

Also, what about earrings? I don't have any yet. Those seem to be kind of expensive from what I've seen in EC chat though.

Any suggestions/tips? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for any advice! Much love!

You can probably camp the Chitin Shell Shield yourself now or in a couple of levels.

Otherwise I'd just save plat for spells - they get expensive. Maybe if you can afford it a Poison Wind Censor because melee+slow+dot is going to be more efficient until at least level 34.

If you want a shield, Im a big fan of the strathbone shell shield:

Proly have to be lvl 40 or something to camp that tho. Spiders in Kaesora are nasty and add up easy.

Get some XP in guk doing fungus men.

Hopefully you will get your bits for the Paw of Opolla. While looking for groups you can camp the Large Heart Spider camp for shield/breastplate.

Only flaw in plan is the Befallen part of the quest can become time consuming.

A bloodstained tunic remains cheap and relevant imo, and doable in the 20s if you're grouped in unrest (if short on plat to buy one)

I think I still have some blood stained tunics rotting in my clerics bank (he did his mid/late 30s in unrest knight room killing hags).

PST if you see me in game.

http://wiki.project1999.com/Ivory_Imbued_Collar is pretty cheap and a great shaman neck item. Also, like a previous poster said, get the gold jasper earrings. Start looking for items to fill in the gaps in your armor (Belt, face, back, waist...) with wis/hp gear. Most totemic armor except the helm doesn't give Wis anyway, so unless you want the extra AC I would just skip them. The belt might be tricky as I cant think of a cheap wis belt off the top of my head but for your back keep on eye out for a cheap kunzar cloak or wait till your in your 30s and camp a mammoth hide cloak.

Can solo the parts for the totemic armour from 24 (though 34 will be easier) it doesn't have much +wis but has some other stats, and higher ac than banded. Can also camp the shield of falsehood at 34 or even ask someone to kill the mobs for you for the parts, it's easy enough.
I would grind as you are til 34. I found at 34 I could camp a lot of lower end wis gear myself. Also hit misty thicket guards from 30+ for nice xp and pp to buy gear. And from 34 camp Oowomp in TD for gear to use and sell.
I wore 5/55 and banded til 34. I then self camped shield of falsehood and scaled mystic armour (as iksar - but totemic on an ogre would be about the same) and stayed as I was til 45, so don't sweat it too much, there's a lot to spend pp on once you are higher, imo a Jbb at 46 would be a better investment than armour to get to 46.
I still only have +3wis ears and 5/55hp rings, bloodstained tunic and 3 pieces of scaled mystic, and at 51 can solo and group just fine. Low end gear doesn't change much for a sham. The big things you need (imo) are a telescope (100p -to reset cool down so you can canni faster), canni 2 spell and a PWC. Then save for the stuff that will make a difference (JBB/fungi/epic MQ)
