ENC - on killing post charm

We all know the trick. Charm, have them fight, break charm when mobs are low hp, root and nuke.

Question I have is: do I need to killl my charm pet first to rceive full xp? This is my practice but sometimes reasons come up and I contemplate killing the other mob first.

It is my understanding that if the only damage done was by the charmed pet, and if charm breaks, its as if you never did damage, hence resetting both mobs and killing either one will grant you full exp.

No. Once charm is broken, kill order doesn't matter.

I've always done it this way to be sure. Whether it matters or not I never tested. Just make sure the non-charmed mob has been rerooted before you release the pet [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I never noticed it eating xp after breaking charm.

Also when I PL and let someone else kill them at low hp they get the same % xp for each kill.

When power leveling 1-25. Use fire element illusion, cast beserker str/bedlam and then a rune. Pull mobs with tash and have the person hit each mob one time. Then just keep sitting til the mob is dead.
