Logs being on slowing performance

Hi all. So Ive been playing on the server for a few years now and have had my logs on and running without so much an incident or problem. As of 2 days ago from the time of this post with my logs being on it slows performance on EQ quite a bit. I tested turning my logs off and the problem immediately went away, tried resetting, leaving PC off awhile and nothing has helped. Anyone have any solutions to correct this problem? Thanks a lot.

I archive (and zip) my old log files once every month or two. That way they don't get too big. Something to try...

I did that 2 weeks ago or so. I shall try this again now and see if anything comes from it. Ty
