Default Lavastorm

I don't know if it was good luck or not but when I was in lavastorm last night I noticed there are no fire imps. They used to be all over mixed in with fire elementals, dervishes, drakes, lava snakes, etc. I did not see one. We used to hate these things back in the day would make our life hell but should still be there none the less.

Yeah there are sprites and imps, look similar, one is slightly tougher than the other. Sprites > imps.

Egads! No Fire Imps!?!? I can't believe I didn't notice that when I was fighting there, but I think you're right! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

There was A (singular) fire sprite, was the trigger mob for eejag (monk epic), guessing he would have been introduced when kunark came out.

We used to level up by the najeena ramp and surrounding area. There were imps there, I didn't see any last night. Could have been bad luck?

Imps should definitely be more abundant.

Lavastorm was THE place for a druid to solo 14-18, because the imps, fire elementals, and lava crawlers were all tagged as summoned. It's the first time a druid can kite effectively, really.

Also, the Warbone monk and Lesser nightmare are both far more common than in classic. I've leveled several druids through the late teens there, and did not once ever see either of those mobs. This time through I saw either or both, and even saw two monks up at the same time. I had to look them up the first time I came across them to see if they were even classic. They seem to be, but they were extremely rare spawns.
