![]() This is testable on a lvl 1 char with Ivandyr's Hoop (your favorite item and mine)
It should drain for at least a minimum of 132 ... but it may indeed need to do the full damage for the spell of 150.... needs to be researched (digging' away) but feel free to chime in. Other items may need this check like Bladestopper etc, not sure if this is a fix that can just be put in place across the board or not... hope it ain't too much work 2 fix.

![]() Same with sow pots I think. Level 4 clicking a sow pot only lasts about 15 min currently. Should it be set at minimum of 24?

![]() Now that is a head scratcher.
MY VAGUE MEMORY ON IT tells me that the sow pots had the strength equal to the shaman who created the potion. I do seem to recall that potions from 60 shamans were coveted for this reason. Will research what I can here, a few pals diving in my help. Note: this is a buff to your pixels instead of the usual "hated" classic things.

![]() I'm gonna go with a no one the level of shaman factoring.
Cause there is no way an item would be able to tell its origin for when it was cast. Period. That was a wives take if anything.

![]() Yeah, I think that sounds like an old wives tale, like anti-camp radius and hide level of rogues dictating whether something can see them.
All three of those I'm sure you could find someone posting insisting it was true.

![]() Ya def lookin 2 get research goin' because this is a mechanic being put under a serious microscope. Nothing too good yet on shaman pots.

![]() It could be done; some data for items is item-instance-specific and stored in the inventory table (e.g. current charges, augs in later expansions). Wouldn't be much harder to put "level of maker" in there. But good luck confirming that was something they actually did. (edit: lol at "impossible" though)
As for spell scaling thing... could see that going either way. Most all spells that scale do so from a base at level 1, any minimum is only relative to the lowest scribe level. Looking up the lowest scribe level is easy, but would make it pretty arbitrary in the case of spells with lots of different scribe levels for different classes. They did a lot of odd things though, maybe they decided on that after they'd written their spell scaling system in stone and didn't want to reorder things to make the minimums more explicit for whatever reason.

![]() I want to say I saw that in an announcement or a patch message about pots don't recall the exact wordage. I think it was a nerf to DS pots at one point and included all others that the potions are only effective to a point depending on that person's level using it.

![]() Moving to resolved as I believe level click restrictions / weird level 255 things were resolved by Haynar and probably affecting this.
