Is there a 50 FPS cap in game? Even though I've changed my maxFPS in eqclient.ini file to be above 50, it seems like I can't achieve that in game.

not sure actually, you can usually do it on a per-program basis in your GPU drivers
according to this post, adding VSync=FALSE under [Defaults] in eqclient.ini may work: https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq/...oo-add.192481/

No luck so far. Seems like Vsync would be 60 FPS, wouldn't it? since my refresh rate is 60hz. I still can't seem to get over 50fps. Is anyone able to run this game at 60 FPS consistently?

High framerates are only nice if you have a monitor to support them. Only thing framerate above 30 does in EQ is make you float differently and cause issues with certain doorways.

what thulack said pretty much, having a framerate over 100 or so causes a lot of weird issues with the client
no special configuration, my machine is a 4790k with 16gb of ram and a GTX 970. i run fullscreen borderless with wineq2, fps limited to 100
