Hybrid penalty removal ... what will actually happen?

With the hybrid exp penalty removal looming in the coming months, do we yet know what will actually happen with existing hybrids?

For example,

• Nothing at all. If you were 32% through level 41, you'll be 32% through level 41 after the removal.
• You would be insta-leveled to whatever your current exp total would put you at; a 41 might end up being ~43 after the removal.
• An experience bonus would be applied equivalent to your penalty deficit.
• Other?

I've heard rumor that something like the exp bonus may have been what happened on live servers, but I was playing an ENC during all that, so no clue.

You certainly won't wake up to find your hybrid gained 5 levels.
