Default Free Client ever coming in the future?

Discovered Project 99 last year for the first time, played 2 solid months. Was like a flashback in time for me, even staying up way past midnight glued to the screen. No other current MMO has recaptured that element for me. Unfortunately I let some friends talk me into giving another new MMO a try (Archeage) after a couple of months another MMO taking up hardrive space. Wanted to get back to Project99 but my files got currupted and never got around to reinstalling and replacing necessary files.

I have read that SOE is now Daybreak(something to that effect) and you have hammered out a friendly relationship to keep P99 going as far as legality. Do you think there will ever be a time that Project99 team will get to make a client available to download for free or at the very least maybe Daybreak would allow a purchasable client necessary to work with P99. I know I can get some friends to play P99 with me if the client was more accessible. Who knows if that was available would probably have to start a new server with a swarm of new players. I know I would like to start with everyone else, although the current player base have been awesome to me. Just would like to start new with everyone else. Wish I knew about P99 years ago!

Thanks!

How did you err...get those files?

Whatever you did, do it again. Reinstall <3

Always wonder if these threads are trolling/baiting.

I still have the files, reinstalling right now as a matter of fact. It would make it easier to get my friends and family on board and EQ fans in general that want to live EQ again if the titantium client was easier to access. I was just more curious than anything if that's on their agenda, a more accessible client or purchasable client in the future.

Yeah getting P1999 to work can sometimes be a real challenge but well worth the effort. Maybe between all your friends you can figure it out again. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I can figure it out, its trying to communicate this to less computer savy people in other states that I have trouble with lol. Its the eer part that's a issue with most...... ridicules prices on Ebay and Amazon!

Oh well, like I said before was curious if it was a future possibility.

Assuming the technologically impaired person bought EQ Titanium originally, throwing your install of it on a USB stick for them is probably legally sound...I'd check that to be sure [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I always like to keep a backup of my legit eq directory on a flash drive! Just have to make a new shortcut when I do a fresh install .

It's not in the pipeline currently but it's possible to do so.
