Default GM events?

Will you all be doing GM events like there used to be in classic? I remember GM dragons running around all over the place and everyone having a blast...

The server has had a few GM events. Notable ones include the Gnoll army attack on Qeynos (this one goes way back), the story line lore symbol thingy one (not even sure what to call it) that may or may not continue through the life of the server.... and of course the battle of Bloody Kithicor which was mimicking the events on live for the opening of Hate.

Currently however I think that the developers are concentrating on getting Kunark finished (which I'm pretty sure the vast majority of the server is in favor of).

I would not expect to see any major GM event in the near future... maybe just some little things here and there.

Just my guess though, don't take my word on it.

I remember GMs ignoring petitions, power-tripping, laughing at ninja-loot situations and generally being useless twats anytime they were needed.

The GMs have always very quickly and politely resolved any issues I've had.

Yeah, definitely... I've not run into any GM on P1999 but I'm sure they are all lovely people =).

Yeah, Ginea hit it right. Those were the only Gm events thus far, and the Qeynos one was the only one that had any mentionable loot. I only remember the badass SK swords from the Kith event, because that was just before they set the server up to support tht kind of lag - we had 200 ish players in kithicor alone - and everything was crashing.

The next gm event, i expect, may be to release kunark, if they do that at all, after that, bug reports for kunark come first as a first priority. Probably as their found and prioritized.

TLDR: You won't see one for a very long while.

Problems with past GM events here, were major zone crashes. Maybe. Just maybe. With some changes going out soon, the server might handle 400+ people in one zone, and we can have more big ones.

There could always be a GM event oriented amongst the levels, ie 1-10 in EC or so, 10-20, etc etc...Now that I typed that out, it sounds retarded, I'm gunna hit submit anyway cause I'm too lazy to erase this text, NIPPPLES
