Old school original mouse pointer

For reference, I am using the Ti client, patched per the most current setup guild using the most current linked Velious UI.

Issue: I still have the Ti mouse pointer, it's white/silver with a gold center. It's hideous.

Normative: I'd like to have the original grey pointer. I know it's in the art files, but I am uncertain how to affect a change.

There are a few ways to fix this. The cursors in EQ use the standard windows .cur files. You could either:

1. Copy the set of windows .cur files that you like into your default UI folder and overwrite them.

2. Delete the .cur files from the default UI and change the cursor in windows to that type you want.

3. Make a separate UI folder with the specific cursor files you want for EQ (if you wish them to be different to windows and you want to keep the defaults)and use /loadskin in game. EQ will pull all of the other files from default for you.

If you already use a custom UI folder then drop the .cur files in there instead. If you use a custom UI folder and want to use your windows settings then just leave all of the .cur files out of your custom folder.

The list of .cur files you need are:

arrow.cur
ew.cur
ibeam.cur
move.cur
nesw.cur
ns.cur
nwse.cur

This seems to be instruction on how to get the cursor to behave differently or, look like the white windows one.

How do I get it to look like the classic pointer the OP linked?
