Default Powerleveling with Red Dragon Tooth 10k

Greetings,

I'm a 28 cleric and I just got myself a Red Dragon Tooth.

It summons a level 49 Necro pet for me to control. I will give the pet two lifetap sticks, a summoned haste mage mask, and proceed to rape OT until at least level 42-ish, maybe higher. The quirk is that if you let the pet die, or you die, or you zone, or the server goes down, or your connection drops... you lose the pet. The tooth only has one charge, of course.

Since pet steals 50% exp, I'm looking for a partner to do it with. It will cost you 10k pp to be that partner. I got the tooth for 20k.

For the partner, it will be a bet of 10k pp (payable in advance) on my pet control skills, my internet connection quality, server stability, and general ability to keep the pet alive for many hours. If you win, you gain a lot of levels for a fraction of what it would cost to PL with a bard. If you lose, you lose 10k pp and gain no or less levels than optimally possible. If *I* screw up badly and the partner gains very little exp because of that, I will use my best judgment and may decide to reimburse some money.

I'm primarily looking for an enchanter or a shaman partner around level 28 to do it with. I will review other applications, though. I'm a cleric so will be able to heal the pet if the need shall arise. The partner would haste the pet, Clarity me (if enc), slow mobs if needed, and do CC if the need arises.

My credentials:

- I played a pet class to 60 before so I have extensive pet control experience.
- I am not an idiot
- I have very good internet connection that barely ever goes out. But you can never know.
- I have a very stable system that barely ever crashes. Again, you never know.

I'm looking to start the session at about 4am EST. Yes I know, it's a weird time. But I'm on GMT.
I'm looking to end the session as late as possible, obviously. Realistically it could last for about 8 hours at least. Maybe more.

After that session I would leave myself AFK in OT at as safe a spot as I could find, with the pet up, hoping to find him still there the next day, and possibly continuing the session (the partner will of course be welcome to join in again if they still want to).

From what I understand, lvl 46 is where it slows done a lot, exp-wise.

Please PM here or send a tell to Aleex in game.

I got the Deadstaves FWIW.

I'm also gladly accepting suggestions on other spots than OT.

Would like to bump it, by the time the message has been validated by the mods, it's already on the x'th page.

Just ran a few tests on a private EQEmu server. Best spot so far seems to be OT up to 45. Then the exp slows quite a bit down although still is good (ie: I'll probably try to push beyond 45 if possible).

The pet wielding two Deadwood Staves + a Summoned Muzzle of mardu soloed Black Dire (without the guards), and won the fight while still having 60% hp left. Not even close.

The pet soloes Burning Wood mobs easily (hornets etc), but the zone is a pain to navigate in.

The pet soloes a lot of Skyfire mobs as well, but too much risk of overpowered add and navigation is pain.

The pet plows through Lguk mobs but a train would end the session right there.

So OT it is, apparently.

This is something I may be interested in. I'm rerolling my necromancer as an Iksar and would like to make the transition as painless as possible.

I am planning to find a Druid to take me to 20 in anticipation of Bard PL after but this could work and be kind of fun.

A necro certainly wouldn't be ideal for your situation since I can't slow or mana buff. What I do have though is a snare (which I could pull with), root and secondary pet. Plus I can spot heal if need be. At 24 I get my first twitch, too.

There's a couple of issues, though that my get in the way:
- I'm not even 20 yet and would probably need one evening to get that done with a Druid
- It seems like you want to start soon and I probably couldn't do this for a couple of days it seems
- Will a level 20 even work for what you're looking for, and considering you're 28

Those are my thoughts. Let me know.

Level 20 will work but I would steal a lot of exp from you, that's all, since I'm 28.

Necro is an ok class to do it with, I suppose. Your snare wouldn't land on anything, though. Mobs are pretty much all 30+, many are 35+.

I'm really looking to do this soon. Like tomorrow really.

Please don't send me a tell in game. I've got too many frivolous tells about it with very few actual interested folks.

PM here. Thanks.

Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
