Miscellaneous: Drop rates on torn, burnt book / torn, frost book

I believe these two books are dropping far more commonly than they should from Vox & Nagafen. At present, they appear to drop (often in multiples of two and three) every single kill of either dragon. It is currently extremely rare NOT to see these books drop!

From my own memory (having completed the quest on live in 2000), these were always a rare drop, in fact they were a downright pain in the ass to obtain, and I was the first to complete this quest on Terris-Thule server.

If someone level 53 or higher engages them, that person will immediately be teleported outside the zone. Gorenaire, Talendor, and Severilous are usually killed within hours, if not minutes, of when they spawn. In addition, the book is a rare drop off all the dragons; it's not uncommon to have to kill each dragon several times before the appropriate book drops. (It should be noted, though, that it's possible for multiples of the book to drop on a single kill.)"

"Not sure about naggy really, in my naggy/vox days i only saw the book drop 1 out of every 4-5 times or so."

"Was amazed when he dropped 2 burnt books, 4 spells, green scale, and treasure hunters satchel. Either we were extremely lucky or they finally made the books drop more because the drop rate was ridiculously low."

I saw multiple books drop on naggy and vox on live several times. There was nearly always 1 and sometimes 2. I did that quest too and it was very early on. NEver had a problem seeing them dropped and I am amazed anyone would complain about them dropping too often lol. Even when quarken was soloing them with hs monk later on they dropped like hotcakes.

With a quick google search you can find just as many people saying they did drop as there are people saying they didn't.
