No plate for Iksars till Velious?

Went to roll my ikky as a war and was reading on wiki to see the "best" starting stat distribution and found they can't wear plate till Velious...that hurts. Good thing it's being released soon but now i gotta wait on rolling a war. Weird how they would do that considering warriors kind of need plate lol Damn

You are right about no Plate for a Iksar. But there is a LOT of good gear for them now for some reason lately in the EC Tunnel. [You must be logged in to view images. So it is still worth starting one up now then as a tank class? I haven't been here long enough to really twink one especially with the prices on some of the highly sought after twink gear but if i can get by with like a banded set or something till velious drops then i may just pass my ranger banded set and str rings and earrings over to start him.

Was posting on another thread someone started about ikkies and now i kind of want to start one just to grind out the factions and be the ikky thats isnt hated lol war with regen and AC bonus as a not hated iksar? sounds like a challenge that will feel like a decent accomplishment. XD

Yeah, it is. I've been playing an Iksar SK and my brother plays an Iksar War. Neither of us have had any problem getting groups or tanking mobs. Granted we are only up to our mid 20s right now but still. Also there is class specific Iksar quested armors that are great until you can start getting stuff out of Karnors or Seb.

if iksars and trolls have the same regen, why would it be better to roll iksar if trolls can wear plate now, and aren't hated everywhere?
