Default Advice for faction grinding on Shaman epic

1) Can anyone direct me to a good guide explaining how to do the quest through faction? Most of the ones I've found are confusing.

2) Is it possible/advisable to grind in CoM at this point? Or will I just get murdered constantly (I'm level 40)

basically trying to get a head start on this since I'm guildless and probs can't do the quest in the traditional way.

You can completely skip all faction parts and just get tear. This requires you doing the very first part over and over again about 100 times.

I'd advise grinding com and turning in books. Check out the wiki. Doing the first part over and over again is a long process where as doing the book turn ins from CoM will let you get xp there while doing your epic. You can even let other groups in the zone know you are doin the epic and ask them to loot the pieces from their mobs. Most people are cool and will let you know a piece dropped and you can go grab it.

agree with ipman

do the quest from start to COM books

then just grind COM books while exping at the same time

should take about 6-7 book turn in's if you have done the rest of the epic quests up to that point.

Thanks for the advice guys, but doesn't even the early part of the quest require a lot of support from other players?

I paid a druid to do the first part in BB for me for an hour. For some reason you need to charm the spirit wolf the first time you do it. I did that quest enough times until I could get the NPC in EJ to allow me to do CoM quests. CoM quests when leveling from 39-51 and I think that about did it.

I wouldn't skip the faction grinding and just do tear MQ unless you can confirm that you can also get the sow boots without faction.

The only part that requires any help at all would be the black dire

If you bind in freeport and have a druid friend you can just have them port you to BB over and over.
