Default Returning after 10 year hiatus

Hi everyone. After 10 years, i am finally returning to everquest. I installed the p99 version last night before i went to bed. I managed to login for just a couple minutes and do a little exploring. It brought back such fond memories. I am typing this on my lunch break as i am anxiously waiting for 4 o clock to roll around to jump back on. Glad to see the community is still around!

Welcome Lukes! Without a doubt a good Bard is most needed out of the three classes you listed. Most we kite to low 50's then burnout when things slowdown or they find they don't know what to do when they group. There are a lot of chanters and shaman. Both are fantastic soloers and both great in groups, but there are a lot of each ^^

You roll a bard, you eventually will become part of the problem. Nerf bards. don't roll them.

Hey Lukes,

Welcome! I also ended up moving from a Necro (lv 8) to a Bard (now level 8) and I am having a blast.

What Sadre and maskedmelon is referring to is that most Bards find out they can strafe-kite their way to 50 but if that is all you do, you never end up learning how to actually, well, play a Bard. Bards from what I've read (I am new to bard) are usually used to pull for the group as well as keep up buffs that are needed/missing for their group.

If you strafe-kite your way to 50 and never socialize and practice your skills, well I'm sure you can see how that ends up for those Bards...
