Default Netbook?

I am looking into purchasing a laptop so I have the game going next to me, on a table, while sleeping to aid me in camp/poopsock purposes. I was going to get a used laptop, but I am pretty poor. I was wondering if this game could run on a Netbook? I know it doesn't require much but I know Netbooks are really bad. The thing is, I can probably find one for $100 which means I could get it pretty soon. Does anyone know if I can get it on there and have it be playable and not terrible?

Oh. Maybe I didn't explain right. I just meant in my room, not actually in my bed... Wouldn't know stats yet was just wondering if it were possible.

It's very possible. I played this game in 2000 with a shitty E-machines desktop with like 256mb ram.

Immediate answer is, No. I understand this game was first introduced in 1998 (beta) and 99 release, but since it's 2015 I think you need:

HP 9000 line server (at least 12 or more Xeons, 1TB of ECC RAM)
SAN with 90 PBytes
no less than 10Gb fiber connection
and 9999 KWs of power.

Oh, and that does NOT guaranty the absence of latency.

The screen is pretty small but it'll run fine - get a wireless mouse, I find playing on a touchpad a PITA -- Mg
