Default locked ip and co-play

Is there any way to play with my friend from the same residence/IP? Yes, I understand 2-boxing is bannable, I don't play to do it, I wouldn't be able to do it if I wanted, I just want to play with my friend or wife.

I think the story you're looking for is that you need it for "your brother" who is "very quiet" and "doesn't like to group much".

You can't have such an open story, with both your friend or your wife...cause which is it? Does your friend live with you and wife, or is he just there a lot, or is your friend actually your wife? See what I mean...too many questions. Go with what I wrote above, it's the bread and butter for IP exemptions it seems.

(on a serious note, read the FAQ and petition accordingly)

I wonder if there is a way to tag all of those accounts that have been given ip exemptions so that others who are suspicious of someone two boxing can check to see if they were ip exempted. For example it is possible to add an extra line with an ID number to someones /charinfo data? This same number could show up for every character under both accounts. While it still wouldn't be complete proof it would be a big red flag if you suspected two boxing occurring before you checked the tags. I have no idea how flexible the /charinfo command is to the devs.

People are always so quick to throw dirt on every single topic on these forums it seems, i happen to be playing with my wife..and fact is, we sit facing eachother in the office..not much typing going on, so its kinda natural for people playing from the same location to type less crap than you basement jacks do..everyone wanting an ip exemption aint just lonely assholes who wants to break the rules like so many seems to be implying.

The ip exempt folks who are legit have got nothing to worry about. If there's two people actually playing it's pretty obvious unless one is always /autofollowing another. We understand the whole no talking to each other deal. It would still be odd if one was silent when asked a question by a completely different player tho. Again, I'm sure the vast majority do not fall into this category.
