the real chill factor
Having got bored of this server, I couldnt resist playing the release of icewind Dale Enhanced editon.
Anyone else relived the memories? Great game, but the plot is far too linear. Which feels odd after EQ and endless choice. Not many mods for iwd yet, as in new zones. Some in the pipeline tho.... tbh alot more atmosphere in some those zones than in eq, despite the limited gfx!!

BG > IWD...BG's had great story lines...icewind was more hack and slash.

I LAN'd that a few years ago with a friend of mine. It is a LOT of fun, especially as you grow more powerful and get fun items.
If you're interested in an old, D&D rpg game of similar, if not higher quality, and more complex storyline, i highly suggest Planescape: Torment [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] | ||

its the great irony of RPG (games)...good programmers cant write stories(plot) and good writers cant program!
