Errcode Dll-2

Wife is attempting to Log in and receiving this error on character screen *Errcode Dll-2*. She was playing just fine a few days ago, she thought she had a virus pop up about dll setup and McAfee removed it from computer. I tried to redownload the patch notes and the computer continued to remove the file. I then just to see tried a back up and restore point and that allowed her to play, however when her computer did an update she was missing the file ONCE AGAIN. I redownloaded the patch again and now receiving the errcode Dll-2... How do I fix this??

Can you get McAfee to skip the EQ program folder from its monitoring/scanning? Then extract the patch and dll again.

1) Remove the virus that is McAfee.
2) ????
3) Profit.

Or whitelist dsetup.dll within your Everquest folder.

How can I get it to skip the file? As soon as I download the new patch for her again, If I leave the folder open for just half a second I watch as it delete's the dsetup file again.I even turned off mcafee and did the download and somehow it removed it again LOL

muahaha some "real time scanner" was preventing it from being redownloaded every time. Turned that off and firewall back on and its running great now! Hopefully thatll take care of it

It will probably remove the file again the next time that real time scanner is enabled (possibly from a reboot even if you do not select to activate it again).
