Default Lair of the Splitpaw

If i remember, the correct "original" name of the zone was "Lair of the Splitpaw" and now "Infected Paw". Is there a way to change it back?

Also, I have not been everywhere in the world of Norrath yet, do all zones still have their original or have some been changed like the one mentionned (Lair of the Splitpaw)?

splitpaw is the new revamp. There are not enough files to recreate the original splitpaw.

there arent any other zones like this that i can think of. everything else is old.

It's A revamp, I wouldn't say it's the new revamp.

There are 3 different versions, the original one that was like for teens. The one we have on p1999 which is like 30s. And the one currently on Live which is higher level(50+ I think).

The version we use on here right now was implemented on Live pretty early on during the Cleansing the Karana GM events. I think that was pre-Kunark.

edit: looked on Allakhazam, earliest post I could find about that GM event was in 2001 and they said a level 54 received one of the following:

So I'm not really sure w/o wasting more time. Keep in mind, that item is soo good you'd never unequip it so maybe he wasn't 54 when it was received. I also heard about a level 6 druid getting this bp.

Just to make you drool, that effect is 14hp/14mana regen.

A sentiment shared by like half the people on the webpage for that item. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Speaking of Cleansing the Karana's, did that ever happen here? I posted the full event text log somewhere either on this forum or the old one - wondering if that info was used or if the above BP was ever given out. I think no, but I was away for some months earlier this year.

Ok got tired of not knowing. Found the following about the BP, which shows the cleansing event and the current Splitpaw we use came in October 2001.

I recieved this item yesterday....I LOVE IT. the quest was fun and I believe I recieved it cause I helped 2 others find empty braizers with my track skill. I RP a bit but was not anoying. OH and BTW this lil druid name Yout almost started crying to the GM/NPC Because I put the carcoal stuff I reciever from the GM into the braizer he filled...kinda pisssed me off . But all and all was great and the regen ROCKS

The Karanas GM event took place in 2001 thats correct. However, Paw was changed to Infected Paw in late 1999, before even Kunark was released. As was already mentioned, so little info survived from original Paw that it was too difficult to recreate it.
