![]() As a necro? Was messing around last night. Could get him down to 50%. Just want to see if there's any tricks I'm missing.

![]() I've seen an enchanter do it using the foreman.
Could probably use the foreman as a necro just without the ability to slow

![]() That's what I was using. I can haste the pet but I can't slow the golem. I can keep shadow bond up(HoT) plus Lifetap over time(Vexing Mordiana) but it's not enough. The Cliff Golem's dps is too much. Only other DoT I was using was Splurt. Few times I tried pyrocour it didn't work. I want to go back to him today and try a little more. Maybe try using one of those necro fire/poison debuffs and try to DoT him harder. I'm not hopeful it's going to work though.

![]() That's pretty lame if you couldn't stick pyro. It's a -100 mod right?
Try using bloodpoints (or deadwood staves) for your pet's weapons, getting a haste mask (or tola robe) for him, buying him more time to DPS without taking hits by getting aggro yourself and just running away from golem in between summons, etc. Use harmshield to med while tanking him as he enrages to keep him facing away from pet. Stuff like that might be enough to win out with some good luck.

![]() If unfearable run kite him while you keep aggro.

![]() He summons, yeah, but summons are only once every 10 seconds (or so?). If you can get root to stick at all you can back a pet off every time it gets summoned so that a mob is eating dot ticks but not beating on your pet constantly. You can run away from a mob after it summons you to avoid getting hit by more than 1 round per summon too. Of course, if it is resisting most dots and roots then this won't help too much... but it's a great strat for necros on mobs that are only like 51-54.
Haven't tried him with a necro so I don't know how much he resists; I've only fought him with my chanter, so he was tashed, and it was before the most recently patch affected resists.

![]() This guy really is a pain in the ass to solo cause it seems like you need someone to lure the Dragoon away from him or he adds every time. The pet rarely stays charmed too.... but sometimes he does. I did spend some time kiting him but when I did it I never rooted him, I just ran with my pet aggrod and my pet ran faster than him. I tried paralyzing earth a few times and it didn't work, I just assumed he was immune but I'll try more. Problem is if you DoT the Golem too much he will start summoning you and he hits hard. Adding harmshields to the mix helps a little but it's not enough yet. I haven't tried with bloodpoints and tola robes. The idea about debuffing him won't work, that will take too much time that needs to be spent doing other stuff.

![]() I wonder if I could of tanked him before the AC nerfs. The way Tecmos is talking about where he summons you but you keep running away. Using vexing mordiana constantly and Touch of night/deflux while my pet beats him down. I have a feeling that would of worked a few weeks ago.

![]() As a necro what you could do is chain in summoned pets. This is something you see mages do more often than necros and takes timing.
But if you can get him low enough with the original pet, and time it up just right so that: (1) pet dies, (2) new pet appears (3) you FD or run away from summoning while you send it in and let it get agro; you could maybe pull it off.
