Default Cleric Gear-Lower level

Hey All,

Got a level 11 cleric, was curious as to what point, if any that I should start trading AC<Banded Armor> for WIS/STAM/STR gear. I know I won't get the mana benefits this early on from WIS.

Just trying to find a balance, as I know that Clerics can wear banded/plate- But not sure if that is directed towards the upper end content/levels.

Was never really concerned about AC on my druid as he can only wear leather.I know things are probably different with the Cleric. Any input is much appreciated.

On my cleric I started replacing my banded with pieces that added +mana and since I couldn't afford +6WIS rings at first. I found moonstone rings which add 30mana and 3 STR and I found them on a vendor. I would def. stick to mana over WIS. Unless you can grab some wisdom gear cheaply.

If you aren't over 200 wis I would just go ahead and start filling the slots you can now with wis gear. It will catch up to all except the best +mana gear and at a fraction of the cost in your 30s.

Burynai Legion Gi, Moonstone Rings, Platinum Skull Ring's and Wolf Fur Slippers are all great and relatively cheap +mana gear that will last you until 40 easy.

A decent and overlooked low level cleric piece is the Robe of Living Fungus. You can get it pretty cheap and even though it has low AC it has 12sta which is nice and some wis. 10 fire save isn't awful either.

If you're up for the dangerous journey, going to KC and trying to get some Jarsath Scale rots is a pretty good option for clerics. It's free, has higher AC than banded/bronze, and some of it has some of the best stats until you get planar gear (particularly wrist, legs, and helm). Might also be able to get a Supple Scale armband rot which has +wis and +mana.

This is good. Could also get Forest Loops for earrings too, they are cheap I think aswell. Golem Tear Ring like 400pp.

What is a decent way to make money as a cleric? I have been selling bone chips. I don't think I should go to crush bone as a Dark Elf cleric because of the faction hits. I haven't found any HQ bear or cat skins yet. Been saving my money for some of the cheaper items on the Wiki's cleric pre planar gear.

I followed this advice (at level 14 for the extra security IvU provides), and left with 5 pieces (no gloves or vambraces)

One death, so it was well worth the trip

An additional benefit of Jarsath Scale is its low weight for the STR challanged clerics.
