Shaman Epic Quest - The Test of Might

I started the shaman epic quest line as a 35 Barb shaman. I Completed each step without issue up until the 5th part or The Test of Might. After speaking to The Wandering spirit in WK and receiving the sparkling gem I went to Emerald Jungle and located the spirit sentinel. I hailed the sentinel but I guess he didn't respond with any dialect. He turned and looked at me but never responded. I hailed him again and then turned in the gem as stated on the wiki guide but never received any response nor did i receive the gem back. Conning the spirit displays an amiable faction with him as well. What should I do next? Is the Spirit Bugged? I am gonna see if i can get another gem from the spirit but still need to get to next step.

I turned the gem into the spirit in the lake in the NE corner of the Zone BTW.
