![]() Verbose version:
Just had my very first YT experiences (couple deaths and a kill!), and I gotta say... this is certainly an interesting way to play EQ. I'm at least mildly hooked. It's definitely neat to see the dynamic between player-killers and xp groups. And for as much as people complain about the "evildoers/greifers"... as much as they can interfere with your xp plans, I think the added element truly enriches the playing experience: Not knowing who (or what) is waiting for you around the bend, all of the sudden being under-attack, finding it within yourself and your group to stand-up to the aggressors, etc... Tonight's excitement was brought to us Cird and Curd, two Troll brothers who live in Crushbone and came out of nowhere to attack us while we were rolling through orc after orc like a well oiled xp machine! We even had them pinned against the ropes for a moment as one of them got a *little* too close to the Kelethin guards than they should have and ended up with a corpse on the orc lift! (I am impressed that they were able to retrieve it, quite honestly!) In the end, the evil Cird and Curd brothers dispersed, and I am now currently enjoying a beautiful relaxing evening, sipping on some [Short Beer] and fishing for some [Boar Carp] in Crushbone.
