Default Class Selection Advice?

I am sure a lot of us Blue people would like some tips from the PvP veterans on what life as each class is like on this server. PvP viability (dueling, support, artillery, etc), popularity of class, demand for class, etc.

Also, before "what ever you enjoy," some of us like choosing something that excels in a certain way. Help us know what excels how!

Thanks [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Get a guild ASAP.
Do /who as much as possible
If your gonna get jumped don't spam mean messages back.
You will get jumped, it will happen. Learn to take it with a grain of salt and keep kicking.
Class? Whatever you enjoy is the only answer anyone is going to give you. All classes have ups and downs as blue players know. They need to learn to not get so angry when they die. Never know, the group that jumped you might take you in.
Oh, and don't forget to have fun!

Great advice, thanks.

Would still really like to know briefly what life is like as each class and at least a general feel of the population distribution. Depending on my mood, I want to either be a hipster and play what is less common or be competitive and play what is most optimal.

I bind mine to the left key and have a window dedicated to /who. You want as little time as possible to pass between /who checks.

Not gonna sugar coat it. There ARE twinks with fungi's epics and resist gear. Only thing I can tell you is set a goal and keep at it. Some players are not very nice, yet others are. Once you achieve your first goal, set another (example: hit lvl 50, second goal save for resist gear). Never loose your focus on your goal. You will have times you loose plat from a player when your not paying attention. Remember, this is a RED server for a reason. You don't have your hand held like the BLUE server. Welcome to the jungle baby.

You really need to give some options of classes you want to play.

No one is going to type out every class with a synopsis of how each play in pvp.

As a new player I'd go with something that gives you a good pvp experience. Rolling a SK would do that, gear will come with time... but you get some survivability and a HT to swing things for you in a close fight.

I'd steer away from cloth classes personally as a first character as fights can last about 3 seconds if you get ambushed [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.], but hey everyone's different.

Try something you think you'd enjoy... you learn the most about the mechanics of each class by playing them (except maybe a warrior lol) [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
