Default Buttons in char. select screen don't work

The buttons in my char. select screen depress with a mouse click but won't stay clicked in and therefore nothing happens. Any ideas about what to do would be greatly appreciated. Can't find anything addressing this specific problem on the web.

I assume you've tried clicking them more than once? This happens to me occasionally on the first click, then it's fine second time.

BUMP and mod move to technical forum.

sometimes the buttons on mine also don't work, but a second click usually gets them going.

Is your P99 window the one highlighted and on top etc? Sometimes things like antivirus programs and other windows can put themselves on top without asking.

Sounds like stuck keys or maybe some other device is causing a conflict somehow. I would unplug any extra input devices (gamepad, joysticks, even webcams). I would also try switching the game back and forth between windowed and full screen with alt+enter to see if that helps.
