Default Malise giving too much agro?

Was in a small group last night hunting aviaks in South K. I was casting malise and enc was slowing.

We had a Warrior taunting.

Try MOB at 80% - cast Malise - pull agro
Try new MOB at 50% - cast Malise - pull agro
Try new MOB at 35% - same result.

I don't recall that line of debuffs causing so much agro?

What level was the warrior and what level were you? Was there a large difference in your levels of gear and HP values? If so, a twinked, higher level warrior can easily lose aggro to a lower level caster based on the way the game calculates low HP aggro (not based off of percentage, but flat number values in relation to each other.)

If you have aggro problems at any percentage like you described, this is usually the cause.

Hey I didn't want to start a new thread just for a simple question. So I hope bumping an old post is okay for the moment.

Recently got lvl 19 with my shaman and noticed that there is a scroll named Malise like the one you guys were talking about. and Malaise. Both do the same thing and appear the same spell. Are they the same and you still need both? or something else?

Bump, I agree with this post. It seems like it causes an enormous amount of aggro.
