Research skill cap?

Hi,

I played a wizard to 34 when this server came out, and I researched a lot of stuff.

Now back here, I noticed my skill was at 100 (after I dinged 35) and red, as in above the cap. I just dinged 36 and paid closer attention, it's 105 now, but still red- above capped. My skill seems to be way above the cap that it was at 34 (presumably 95, I didn't look)

Was the cap added later? I basically need to keep leveling until I reach the level I had reached before the cap came in?

Classic cap should be (level-15)*5

Note, I didn't research at all between level ups 34-36. I'm still at the cap of 105 for level 36.
