My mage pet happily takes any weapon I give him and seems to hit with the right damage with it, but is he also using the weapon's delay value?

To be a bit more precise:
- Pets never use weapons delay, ever. They only didd for a short period of time after initial release of the game. - With regards to damage if (the formula that follows is how I remember it from Live, I haven't checked here but no reason why it would work differently): if the ((dmg of the weapon x 2)+2) is superior to the max damage of a pet, the pet will use the damage of the weapon, otherwise it will use its innate damage. In a nutshell, it is profitable to equip a two hander to a low level pet but it very quickly becomes useless. Hope this helps you out [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
