Default Worth playing here?

I don't mean from a no-people or bad-exp or no-groups perspective. I already play here and know the drill. I played on inception but had to give it up due to uni. Now I'm back, young and budding, but I'm questioning whether or not I'm going to be wiped at this point.

In b4, "i wuz here back when the pop was peak 25 still alive"... that was before PNP. Things have changed, and I want to know what the players think will happen in the NOW future. If pop sinks that low in today's era of intervention... will there even be a red?

I want to know what the rumored "plans" are for the future of this server are.

I hear a lot of "don't worry" and see the deru sig calling us "red pals." What the [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] does that mean? The rules are fundamentally changing the playing field and I am confused.

Is the answer as simple as "we haven't got the go-ahead from the staff but we have big things we want to do"

I can accept that... I guess.. but someone needs to tell Rogean there's an army of donators/consistent and non-toxic players at the wings when such big things do occur.

Mirrored to teams99? Would be OK with me, that would instantly break up Nihilum (and every other guild) into competing teams... brother against brother sorta style. It would be revolutionary, and I approve.

But aside from that pipedream... what is going to happen to us?

The can is getting kicked down the road, loads of big plans but nobody is allowed to say anything etc.

Server in limbo until then, I'll play again when there's some actual announcements.

TBH No one knows and that scares people the most.

Right now it's a big investment to catch up to the big "players".

But there's pvp to be had at all levels if you care to seek it out. You sound like a vet who knows how to play the game/classes. Same deal as before...

As far as PnP - there's a lot more pvp happening on the daily and a lot more YT and a lot more big battles.

The game is more bug free and classic than ever and it's more stable.

Agreed from a technical standpoint, the pvp *should* be better than ever.

Ppl very recently putting real work into the resists etc.. I would support a rollback to classic -> kunark -> velious progression the moment velious hits... but that's not realistic. Velious needs several months if not an entire year to be tested.. and I don't mean beta'ed.

That potential 'wipe-it-clean' would best come either at the same time or better yet AFTER blue got their new server (which from my perspective.. isnt even on the table)... so the red "wipe-it-clean" is so far out of the question it hurts.

Going back to the main point. Pvp mechanics always improving, so this server should be really awesome whenever the 'great happening' occurs... several years down the line...

You basically got it pegged.

For some it's not worth it in the now.

IMO it is. But I'm a minority here... best bet for pvp under 40 CB, Unrest, Guk. SK, S Ro. Always druids and wizards to kill. And the occasional melee twink. Hitting the 52+ range solo takes a lot longer.

loool why are ron paul gifs so fucking good.

to answer your question, if you like everquest and you like everquest PVP yes it's worth it... just play to have fun n accomplish things with your pals.

if you come in with a lot of expectations, however, you shall be disappointed. just enjoy the box for what it is theres plenty of stuff to do and plenty of different factions to join

Has there been any hints of this from staff?

I'm a new player on red coming from blue. If they are going to make it a fresh start (no xfers), I would consider abandoning red and waiting for teams.
