![]() Prior to most recent patch warrior tanking was sorta difficult, now post patch its almost impossible to keep agro off a good rogue or monk, i have implimented the auto attack off/ use beg skill to try and help but its not cutting it. Something is definatly wrong. i did play live kunark and did very well tanking without a proccing wep even. I rolled a warrior to tank so now im reduced to rarely tanking and doing crappy dps. if im lucky i can get some procs off with 189 dex to help but they seem few and far in between.

![]() I wholeheartedly agree. The hate generation from melee damage is not the same as it was in classic, resulting in warriors being forced to use proc weapons to maintain agro. Now with the patch reducing proc rates, maintaining agro is extremely difficult (whereas before it was just somewhat difficult).
Something definitely needs to be fixed here. Why alter the proc rates to "classic" when the agro generation algorithm is not "classic"? It makes warriors useless in comparison to hybrids for tanking. I'm boycotting this nonsense and playing an alt until things improve.

![]() This is actually about where it was in Live, because now all melee classes need their aggro-management tools to keep the mob on warriors until the Taunt skill gets fixed. Monks FD, Rogues evade (probably need an evade fix here), and now Rangers need the Jolt spell put in. This is what caused the creation of the Jolt spell. It is the responsibility of the rest of the group to keep the aggro on the tank.

![]() No, this is not where it was on live. Verant had to nerf proc hate in Velious because proc weapons made holding aggro effortless for tanks. Right now, holding aggro is impossible WITH procs.
This was discussed in other threads so the devs are already aware. I'm not going to boycott my warrior but I'm not playing him much until this is fixed, as watching the monks tank while I can't get the mob on me for more than one second makes me sort of worthless.

![]() I have a warrior friend and we duo quite often. After talking with him about it, pretty much every time we play, we've landed on two conclusions:
1) People simply weren't hitting this hard (twinked) back in the day so "taunt" and people holding back a bit was all a warrior really needed until they got more abilities 2) Instead of just going all-out every single chance you get, use a little brains and help the warrior maintain aggro by not attacking immediately and/or spacing out your offensive abilities/spells so that the warrior's threat generation can build up more easily I'm not a warrior and have never been one. I can take aggro from him (he has about 5 levels on me) whenever my heart desires (I play a ranger) but the real key to playing with him is knowing when to take it and when not to...and how to do both.

![]() I realize this is an old thread, but I just want to add that the warrior in my group in HPH last night, could not keep the agro off my bard. I had to reduce myself to playing two songs in order to not steal agro. It was very frustrating for all of us.
