Problem with p1999 connection

I was curious if anyone else has had this problem.

When I first started P1999 I had a cable connection and it ran great, I had recently moved and no longer have cable. I've tried satellite (could not connect to any of the servers, always timed out, wouldve sucked anyway with 1000+ ms) and more recently I tried 3g, which I assumed would work just fine, but it doesn't. 3g will let me connect to other servers but NOT P1999. When I go to the server select and choose P1999 it locks up for a moment as if it's going to load up the game, then it dumps me back at the account login. Anyone ever heard of this problem? Am I just gonna have to suck it up and wait til I get broadband again? (Also, i'm trying when there are 1200+ people on P1999 as opposed to other servers I've been able to get into that have 100-300)
