Spells: Zero spell effects showing after new patch

After updating the game files with the most recent patch, none of my spell effects are showing. In game they are showing as being on in the settings, but nothing shows when I cast, or others around me too. I tried replacing the spell files a second time, but still nothing. Talking to other people I'm not the only one who has this problem, but I havn't seen anything on forums about it. Thanks for any suggestions on how to fix

Make sure you're extracting directly to your eq directory both the 2 new spell files and the entire SpellEffects folder. The SpellEffects folder should only have images inside with no additional folders. Also be sure to merge with your old folder.
