What im trying to say is that everyone here has this mentality that (a) the game doesn't even begin until you are max level raiding and (b) getting to max level is just an annoying pain in the ass. Well unfortunately for u, original EverQuest was not designed to be a rush to the end-game like WoW. EverQuest was one game that was actually about the journey, and not the destination.

Think about it - if they made XP so hard that even Tune could only achieve level 40 and the rest of the population was 10-20, FS weapons would be the epic weapons, etc. What I'm saying is that this game is supposed to be played at all levels, it doesn't need to be played at max level / max gear.

i agree bamzal but p99 red is like 2 years old, 90% of the players are 55-60. so level 1-50 is just a chore now in this community.

should just start new chars at level 50 tbh

I agree in that 90% of people are 50+ but no insta50, but I do feel its hard for someone (Like myself for example) to start fresh on this server. I've only ran into PvP once leveling so far and it was a twinked trio so I'm assuming they were alts of a top level guild who zerged me as they passed through to go wherever to group/get PL'd.

That's the only interaction I've seen, the only other people I saw near my level were lowbies being created and grinding in the newbie area waiting for port pick ups.

Pontificating on the theoretical advantages and nostalgia and such while the cold hard reality of what this change is doing to the population sounds like an A+ way to continue operating.

It will take time and people learning/wanting/desiring to play alts at lower levels for the top heaviness to heal. It took blue 2 years to get better. IDK if red has that much time. But it would be nice to see it start happening now, rather than 4 years from now.
