To you, I give a giant finger.

First you leapfrog us powerleveling your alt that you're twoboxing without asking about the camp at the entrance, or the firepit just beyond it, then feel the need that, when your alt dies, to train the two guys at the entrance with a batch of skeletons.

Foul language, accusations to both me, AND my wife, two boxing, training...

When was it that guilds actually took responsibility for the people that they let into their fold? Thanks to you, assclown, you ruined the game for the rest of the week for my wife whom I was leveling with, who I had just talked into giving the game a try.

There are loads of wonderful people on this server, ones of quality and of good sport, but for every one of these people, there seems to be at least three douchenozzles that completely screw it for everyone else.

Don't give up man. I encourage you and your wife to shake it off and keep on playing. Not an easy thing to do but people can and will be pieces of shit.

Keep your heads up!

As much as people complain about the community being bad here - I think if you stick around long enough that over time you'll see the server is much like it was on live. By that I mean that truly bad players who act like jack asses tend to disappear. That isn't to say that there won't be annoying loud mouths that you dont really like (which is how I'm sure a few people on this boards view me) - but annoyances are not the same as assholes.

Na, you tha man Loke.
And much of DA that I've met and interacted with are equally beneficial to the community.

Take it light Nightblade. The ratio of good to douchenozzle is probably 3:1

Your tier`dal roleplay on the World War posts made me love dark elves a little bit more.

We need more folks like you!

No, this has nothing to do with anything.

Thanks, all. I'm a veteran of EQ, played it for a long time, and so I weathered much worse in my day. (Think of all the infighting and flame wars that broke out over someone KS'ing Ragefire back on the seven day spawn timer)

Problem is, she isn't. She's very much non-drama oriented, and so it pains me to see her gain interest in something, and have one person completely screw it for her. I've tried to explain to her about how things go, how they can be sometimes, and how bizarre the outcome might be, and she accepts much of it. Certain things disgust her, and turn her away, so I'm hoping I can reinterest her in it sometime in the future when she gets a day off.

And Humwawa, thanks. I would have actually entered into the running if I hadn't had life come up and bite me in the junk. When mood and reason suit the situation, I can whip out a nasty RP persona suited for something like the Dark Elves. I just wish others could, or would do the same. One woman from my server was never once, in over 6 years of my knowing her, caught out of character. Always went out of her way to help people (she was a paladin), and played it up to an absolute T.

Ohh Penroc, how your kind are missed. /Lament

Put it to her like this.

She's driving to the supermarket, and some idiot cuts her off, and gives her the finger.

Does she stop driving because of one assclown?

P99 isn't dominated by idiots, by any means. They're just loud and more noticeable, that's all. I've met quite a few people that are RL friends now, much like it was on live many moons ago.

#1 I'm not an alt. I'm playing on a LAN with him.

#2 We didn't leapfrog you we moved all the way to the invisible wall. I died because we tried to fight the big earth elementals so we wouldn't take from your camp. I killed a skeleton that aggroed me on the way in, big deal.

#3 He was trying to help out because that mob was beating on your wife for a long time with neither of you doing anything and you flipped out like a little baby.

You're the one who was outright hostile and acted like a petulant child.

Hey, I'm the person the original poster is complaining about, so I thought I'd clear a few things up:

#1, I killed a mob that was fighting his "wife" because she wasn't moving for like 10-15 seconds and I being the nice guy I am tried to make sure she didn't die, since I didn't see the OP anywhere. So what does he do? He comes up to me and says please don't kill steal my mobs and not to assume things(all I assumed was his wife was afk since she hadn't moved in 10-15 seconds). Naturally, this pissed me off because all I was trying to do was spare his "wife" from dying while she was presumably afk. Even if she wasn't afk, the op could have been a lot nicer about it rather than accusing me of stealing his mob and being flat out rude by telling me not to assume things(and why would I be trying to kill steal his mob when my brother was on a corpse run and I'm a level 24 druid and am killing a green mob worth no xp?)

So I told the OP what I wanted him to do, which is kiss my ass, because he was being an asshole to me. If you're going to be rude to me for no reason when I try and help you out, don't expect me not to bitch at you.

Also, if anyone was 2 boxing it's you with your constantly afk "wife" who was doing nothing but sitting in the exact same spot at the entrance and only occasionally getting up to heal or buff you.

If you're going to be rude to people for no reason when they try and help you, don't expect them not to talk harshly to you.

I'm pretty sure that six mobs =! one mob, but my math might be a little off.

While gratitude might be given for 'helping' when one hasn't moved in a bit, the proper thing to do in a situation would be to toss a heal, snag agro, root it. Wait. Grouped together, any member worth his salt immediately takes notice of a group member's health dropping. As far as "getting beat on for a long time"...it was what...ten seconds before I appeared to see it nuked into oblivion?

Alright, fine, gratitude is given for the fact your nuke finger was quicker than your brain was.

Popping off though? Did I start in with slurs? Foul language? No. I started in explaining that we had it, that she was merely away in the kitchen trying to make us dinner, and to please (<--there's something you don't see every day) not to assume otherwise. For something so curt, and to the point, you seem to have a short temper when it comes to things.

I think, given your particular track record at the time, I had a right to be up front, straight forward with you. Popping off in return only emboldened the reaction.

Whilst I try my best not to make enemies in a place where we all come together to enjoy something wonderful (the fact that this is free, and we can relive the experience truly is such), I think I speak for the rest of the server when addressing such trash.

And without further adieu :

Ohh, it's been positively ages since I've dusted off my ol' flameboard image folders. Mmn...how I missed you /dust's off
