Default Fun proposal - Raid scene FIXED.

EQ raid is only fun when you try cool shit with small amounts of cool people.

Rotation 14 days. FFA all else.

During rotation you have 6 hours to kill your mob with 24 members. the mob then turns to FFA rules.

During FFA, you can only engage a mob with up to 24 people.

Everything will work itself out. No one can DA/stall/snipe FTE with only 24 people. Will force the community to come up with cool raid comps/styles and starts. No more zerg, no more BS.

For the Casuals, you get 6 hours to attempt a mob during rotation, and even during FFA, any guild can get 24 members together and get an attempt on a mob.

Its easy to code.. Guilds have unique ID, Nilbog can easily just make it so after 24 of X guild engage something happens. The GMs/guide can easily deal with anything else, that arise.

This is the only way folks. Time to have real FUN in EQ for once.

Wouldn't setting set numbers of people just cause some players/classes to get screwed all the time? Or at least a much lower possibility of getting in? I don't think that's really a good practice. It's like setting up matchmaking and just min maxing the raid force is it not? And for guilds starting to raid they wont have the best gear in the whole game automatically so who's to say they can even take something down especially not immediately having experience to have all the best tactics and skills? Does that sound about right? Just my thoughts and speculation. I may be wrong, but those are the concerns that came to mind.

Well yes, some class would be more popular, but that is every game.

If a guild only has wizards. no wizard will want to be in that guild to get 1/14th of the loot. they will leave and go somewhere else. It will even out over time.

Please the point is to have FUN! No one will respect a guild that raids with 20 wizards or something. Also when you have 24 people, a really skilled paladin will be better than a zerg level wizard pounding the keyboard.

In Everquest, skill matters more than gear, so a guild that is low on gear can come up with cool starts to make up for it, and they have the rotation of free kill to get gear if needed.

(also its 15 year old game.. www.google.com) if you need strats.

This is the point, people should be looking to progress everquest and have fun rather than just saying "My guild doesn't know strats so we will throw 75 people at a mob and watch it die"
