Default How exactly does Clickie Gear Work?

Hey All,

Was curious to know how gear with spells work? Specifically in question is something like "Elder Spiritist's Breastplate", now this is a spell that as a druid I get @ level 44. (Chloroplast)

So what is the difference between activating the spell from this chest piece vs my casting the spell from my spell bar? I notice alot of gear has these abilities, besides the stats that you are getting from said items, what is the benefit to the "Clickie Spells" exactly?

Thanks,

1. It's mana free.
2. Frees up a spell slot.

Thanks Itap! I was thinking something along these lines, but I wasn't sure. Appreciate the response.

Not sure what level the item's spell is cast at. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't get the same level benefits (duration etc) if you cast the spell naturally. And they tend to have long cast times, unless they're instant of course.

There is also no spell cool down time after using a clickie (generally, some items have built in cooldowns), so you can immediately activate another clickie or start a spell. Whereas if you use the spells on the spell bar you have to wait 2.25-2.5 seconds between casts.

on live, clickies were great for resetting the above mentioned Global Spell Cooldown - simply click an instant-clicky after u cast, and ur gems pop out ready to go

For a period on live, you could also activate a clickie, then sit down and med while the cast bar ticked down, you could then stand up before it finished to complete the cast. Worked great for the 20/30 second cast Donal's BP.

This doesn't work here.
